History of SIAT
SIAT was founded in Northern Italy in 1970 and is now a global manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machinery. SIAT began originally by manufacturing carton sealing equipment and tape dispensers. As the business evolved, the company expanded its machinery portfolio to include a comprehensive range of end-of-line solutions.
One of SIAT’s most significant milestones has been the partnership and subsequent acquisition of Combi Packaging Systems in the United States, further expanding its capabilities in case erecting, palletising and robotic packaging technologies. More recently, SIAT has continued to expand internationally through acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
Today, the SIAT Group includes SIAT, Combi Packaging Systems, and the precision machining business, TAM, which provides high-quality engineered components. Together, these businesses provide integrated packaging solutions that combine machinery, automation, and precision engineering expertise. The SIAT Group serves customers in more than 100 countries globally.

1994 – SIAT’s first Automatic Case Erector Machine is launched
2000 – SIAT is acquired by the M.J. Maillis Group – Initiation of Combi: SIAT and 3M Joint Venture.
2003 – The Automatic Stretch Wrapper machine range is launched.
2009 – Merger of SIAT and Columbia Strapping Tools.
2014 – SIAT further invests in infrastructure for machine production.
2023 – SIAT achieves full ownership of Combi Packaging Systems.
2026 – Packserv becomes a distributor of SIAT machinery.
