Universal Sealing Coil for Flat Caps and CRC Closures
The Universal Sealing Coil is the most widely used option for induction cap sealing applications. It is suitable for flat caps and Child Resistant Closure (CRC) caps ranging from 15mm to 150mm, making it ideal for FMCG, pharmaceutical and chemical packaging lines.
Using electromagnetic induction sealing technology, the coil generates an electromagnetic field that heats the foil liner, melts the sealant layer, and bonds it securely to the container. The result is a tamper-evident, leak-resistant seal that protects product integrity.
How to Optimise Induction Sealing Performance
For the best sealing results, the correct coil positioning is critical. The sealing coil should be angled to match the diameter of your cap.
As containers pass along the conveyor:
- The indicator line on the entry side of the coil should sit past one edge of the cap.
- As the bottle exits, the discharge indicator line should align just past the opposite edge.
This ensures the foil liner is exposed to the full electromagnetic field, delivering a consistent and secure seal every time.
Sealing Child-Resistant Caps (CRC)
The Universal Coil is also suitable for sealing child-resistant closures. However, CRC caps typically create a larger gap between the sealing coil and foil liner. This increased distance can impact sealing efficiency, so precise coil setup and positioning are essential to maintain seal quality.
inFinity Tunnel Coil
Designed for tall and non-standard closures, the infinity Tunnel Coil delivers reliable induction sealing where traditional flat coils fall short. Ideal for dispensing caps and oversized formats, this solution applies an electromagnetic field from the sides rather than above, allowing ample clearance for taller cap profiles.
By directing the field laterally, the coil maintains close proximity to the foil liner, ensuring consistent heat transfer and a secure uniform seal. This makes it well suited to applications where cap height or shape would otherwise compromise sealing performance. For optimal results, the coil should be adjusted so the indicator lines align with the foil layer. This ensures the electromagnetic field is accurately positioned to achieve a strong consistent seal every time.
